Power on the ACTAS Px60.
- Select "Test" tile on the touch screen to create a new job.
Select "New switchgear" to create a new template or to select an existing template & begin testing (jump to step 11).
In the upper right corner of the screen, press the "+" icon to create a new template.
Specify switchgear manufacturer & model.
Select "Construction" tab to specify breaker details such as pre insertion resistors.
- Move down the tab list & fill in the layout for the coils, motor, & any needed travel factor.
- Press the back arrow at top left of the screen.
Select "Tests" tab, then select the "Timing" tab on the list to the left.
- Specify the sample rate, pre trigger duration, command time, & total record duration for each timing operation: O (trip), C (close), OC (reclose), CO (trip free), OCO.
- Press the back arrow at top left of screen.
Select the "Analysis" tab.
- Select the motor tab to designate the current detection level & the current averaging window.
Select the "Main contacts" tab to designate the time 0 reference point as either from command signal or coil current pick up. Close & opening speed measurement parameters can also be configured under this tab.
- Press the back arrow at top left of the screen.
Select the "Connections" tab & select edit default connections.
- Select the "Aux contacts" tab & specify amount of contacts monitored & if a wetting voltage should be applied.
- Select the "Travel" tab. Under "Sensor 1" select "Main contact" from the dropdown.
- Select the gear symbol & the transducer can be selected from library.
- Select "Motor" tab. Current & voltage measurement can be enabled here.
Press the save icon on top right of screen.
- Press the back arrow at top left of screen to go back to the list of switchgear templates that will now include the one just created.
Select template from list to begin testing.
Once the template has been selected, tests may now be performed.
Select the "Timing" tile.
- From the tabs on the left select what operation to perform; i.e. O (trip), C (Close).
- Press the "OK" tactile button on the device below the touch screen to start the test.
Press the back arrow at top left of screen.
- Select the "Drive" tile to run the motor test.
- Press the "OK" tactile button on the device below the touch screen to start the test.
Press the back arrow at top left of screen.
- Press save button at bottom left of screen.
- To save the job, the fields with an asterisk (*) must be filled in.

You've created a switchgear template and run your first test.
